The latest version of signalsfromnoise®(sfn)gives Full Licence users Advanced Analytics. These additional Analytical Capabilities are designed to complement the sfn core product by providing powerful tools for gaining further insights into the factors driving change.
The additional chart types and advanced analytic features provided with the Full Licence include:
Cusum Charts
Cusum charts allow a data series to be compared with a target value to see if the level of performance is better or worse than the target, or if changes in the level of performance occur. They are particularly useful when it is desirable to identify small changes in the level of performance.
Correlation Charts
This new chart type allows the data series from two or more sCharts to be displayed together in the same chart, so that sfn users can see how closely related the data series are. At the same time a performance corridor is produced that identifies regions of the data series where the correlation breaks down. Correlation coefficients that measure how closely the data series are related are displayed in a Correlation Chart dialogue.
Process Capability Charts
Process Capability Charts allow data to be compared with requirements defined by a specification limit (or limits) or a service level agreement, so that the user can assess how well the process is meeting its requirements. Where, as is usually the case, an organisation is concerned with a number of aspects of performance, Process Capability Charts are used to identify those aspects most in need of improvement.
Significance Testing
When a user asks for a trended or cyclic process break, sfn automatically checks if the data justify the user's request and displays a warning if not. This provides users with assurance about the statistical validity of their models, and reduces the risk that they will implement an action that is not justified by the data.
