Lightfoot Solutions: Helping to protect the Heart of Borneo Rainforest
Wednesday, 10 November 2010 12:25

The Heart of Borneo Project is a newly established charity which uses a mixture of exploration, research, community projects and educational work to protect the Rainforest.  The project’s inaugural expedition is due to start in late November and will last for 3 months.  The aim of the expedition is to visit previously unexplored parts of the rainforest and study the plants and animals inhabiting those areas.

Lightfoot Solutions have provided the Project with laptop computers which will enable the team to collect data and stream it back to the UK in real time.  The team intend, through live video links, to share their findings and experiences with some schools and museums.

“We are proud to be able to support this admirable project into what is one of the most biodiverse and threatened areas of rainforest left in the world” said Lightfoot’s Chairman Les Halpin.
